Where the wanderlusting began...
My name is Jennie and in 2010 I went on my first ever school exchange, to Bayeux in France and it was one of the best weeks of my life. When I was growing up I never went abroad as most of my family summer holidays consisted of camping in Wales, which, although the people there may speak a different language (well, ish) you don't need a passport to get in.
When the opportunity of a foreign exchange came about, I jumped at the chance and I can safely admit it was one of the greatest decisions I ever made! After I got back it seemed everyday was a steady countdown to the next time I could travel abroad. Saving money became my priority; I would wear the soles down of my trainers to such an extent I would have to duct tape it to stop the rain coming in, just to hold off buying a new pair and spending my money!
For me travelling is my passion, and the creation of this blog was to inspire and encourage others to get out there see the world, and discover how truly awesome travelling is!
Why I started this blog...
In a month I'm going Interrailing and I've had many questions about what to take, what to expect, where to go etc. so I've been doing some research and I've found it really hard to find answers! This blog is designed to help those people like me who can't seem to find answers to what they want or just need a tip or word of advice to help them on their way. Besides, one blog is a whole lot easier to navigate than hundreds of forums that don't really hold any relevance to what you want!
And hopefully, my passion will infect you to travel as much as me! Because, come on, travelling is awesome.
